Vicka has rare public apparition on Irish TV

About 2,000 people were packed in an Irish tv studio when Medjugorje visionary Vicka Ivankovic-Mijatovic had her daily apparition on February 17. It was the first time for years Vicka opened up her apparition to the public.

From the beginning of the Virgin Mary’s apparitions in Medjugorje, visionary Vicka Ivankovic-Mijatovic earned a name for her perpetual smile and her constant, uncompromising availability to anyone who reached out to her. Only did Vicka draw the line when it came to her daily apparitions that, with very few exceptions, have been private since the mid-1980s.

On February 17th in Dublin, Ireland, Vicka was no different on the first two points. But for the first time in years her apparition on Thursday was public. 2,000 people witnessed how Vicka dropped heavily to her knees at 4,40 p.m. Irish time, equivalent to 5,40 Medjugorje time, the regular moment of the daily apparition.

“When I kneel down you will know that Mary is really among us,” Vicka told the attendees, according to The Irish Times.

After the event members of the congregation clamoured at the front of the stage reaching out as Vicka touched their hands and kissed some on the forehead. Still fragile upon her recovery from a recent back operation, Vicka was protected by bodyguards but true to her nature she reached out to the attendees in an expression of true Christian love.

Asked if she had felt the presence of the Virgin Mary, attendee Kathleen Dougan told The Irish Times: “I can still feel her.”

“She had the vision there; you could hear a pin drop. I could feel Mary’s presence,” Gráinne Ievers from Blackrock told the paper after the event.

On February 18 Vicka appeared on the Irish tv channel RTE1′s “The Late Late Show” and was interviewed by Ryan Tubridy. During the interview, shown in full length above, Vicka told that she does not yet know when the so-called Permanent Sign will appear on the Hill of Apparitions in Medjugorje. The sign is the third among the 10 prophetic secrets that the Virgin Mary will entrust to each visionary. The sign at the site of the first apparitions, Vicka repeated, will first of all be given for people who are still far from God.

“I don’t know myself. I am waiting for Our Lady to let me know”, Vicka said in reply to the question when the sign will appear.

This puts her in a different position from that of her fellow visionary Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo who has repeatedly stated she knows the time of each of her secrets down to the hour and minute. Visionary Ivanka Ivankovic-Elez is also known to know the dates of all of her secrets.
